The Roads Cigars

The  Cigars Road could very well have been named the gastronomical road, or the road of the papillae because all is dégustatif there, it goes from the freshly rolled cigars in the workshops to the meals thath will be served all throughout this tourist road. You will discover the beauty of part of the North of this country with its local arts and crafts and its  western looks (saddles of horse, belts) and you will visit a  tobacco plantation  and its manufacturing process. Down South you will sail on the lake Cocibolca (180km/70Km) which includes 365 small  volcanic isletas and also the largest island in the lake of the world named Ometepe where can be found  nearly 35.000 souls. Here time seems to be stopped, it is simply a wonderfull change of scenery and restful. Then you will discover the Pacific and its wild coasts  and according to the season the tortoises per hundreds after the sundowns come to lay their eggs. The  Cigars Roads  can be lived in two manners, in hotels from 3 to 4 stars or in hotelito from 1 to 2 stars and organized bivouac.

1 . International and local transportation

From EUROPE, we offer the following air companies: Air France, American Airlines, Continental Airlines depending on the choose option (going through the USA or Mexico).

On the spot, we use local buses (old yellow school buses from the US) or Pullman buses with AC for group up to 8 people or 4X4 cars with your private driver.

Day 1: departure from Roissy CDG airport in the morning and arrival in Managua the same day in the evening.

Day 11: departure from Managua before noon and arrival in Roissy the following day in the morning.

Alain Creusot has been living in Nicaragua for more than 30 years, he is a volcano specialist, former assistant of Haroun Tazieff, and he spent lots of time with the Krafft ‘s and recently with Eric Barone.

Eric fell in love with Nicaragua in 2001 as he achieved his World record, down the Cerro Negro volcano on his MTB at over 173 km per hour. Eric is fond of nature and human beings; in addition, he will offer you “Qi Gong” initiation.
